Just Starting Out?

Many team members join us through the Firm's on-campus college and university recruiting program. After graduation, they begin their careers at HRR as entry-level audit, tax or other practice group professionals.

With ample training provided by the Firm and progressive on-the-job experiences with clients, they gain essential knowledge and skills to advance their careers, and enhance their stature as professionals.

Internships
HRR offers internship opportunities for students who are enrolled in relevant undergraduate or graduate studies programs. These exclusive internships offer early exposure to client service for students who plan future careers in accounting/auditing, taxation and other related professional disciplines.

Since HRR's structured internships emphasize invaluable on-the-job training, the number and availability of these positions are limited. For information about HRR's internship program, contact your college or university or HRR's Manager of College Relations and Recruitment.

Learning Environment
Our clients look to HRR as a vital, trusted adviser. They expect HRR professional staff members to be fluent in the services they deliver within their specialty areas. Since our clients expect the best from HRR, we expect the best from our people. That's why we place primary importance on the skills training of professional staff members.

Staff members benefit from career-long continuing professional education (CPE) geared to each stage of their careers. HRR's internal CPE program delivers in-depth training for staff members that is targeted to job requirements, skill-sets, specializations, and areas of interest.

While HRR's high-quality CPE programs are instrumental in the development of our professional staff members, the most valuable learning experiences are those obtained on client engagements or projects.

  • Exposure to client engagements and projects are vital to the growth of our professional staff members.
  • We provide rich client experiences that are consistent with, and enhance, your skill levels.
  • Ample supervision and guidance are emphasized in the formative stages of your career.
  • As your career advances, you will assume increasing responsibility in maintaining client relations, contributing to your development and practice growth.

Personal Accountability
A core philosophy of HRR is that the individual is responsible for managing his or her career. However, HRR offers robust programs to help staff members better manage their careers.

These programs achieve several objectives including:

  • Acclimating newly-hired staff members to HRR's high performance working environment;
  • Conveying timely and constructive job performance feedback;
  • Providing personalized coaching that offers advocacy, empowerment and support to help overcome career obstacles that might block the road to professional success.
