Firm Responsibilities

Mr. Mulcahy is a tax partner and the chairman of the tax department at Holtz Rubenstein Reminick LLP. In addition he serves on the firm's Executive Committee.

Relevant Experience

He has over 20 years of professional experience in public accounting. His responsibilities include providing tax consulting services to high net worth individuals, closely held companies, public companies and not-for-profit organizations. He provides tax services to a broad range of industries including real estate, construction, manufacturers, wholesale distributors and retailers.

Mr. Mulcahy has experience in setting up not-for-profit organizations, for-profit subsidiaries of not-for-profit organizations, public charities and private foundations.

He has taught seminars on various topics including tax issues related to not-for-profit organizations for both accountants and executives of not-for-profit organizations.

Professional Activities

Mr. Mulcahy is the treasurer of the New York Coastal Partnership, Inc. and a director of the St. Charles Hospital Foundation. He is a member of the Tax Committee of the Suffolk Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (“NYSSCPA”), where he previously was a member of the statewide Tax Exempt Committee.

Additional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”) and its tax division, the Long Island Builders Institute, the Long Island Community Fund Advisory Board, and the Smithtown YMCA Board of Managers.

Mr. Mulcahy also served as adjunct professor at the C.W. Post School of Professional Accountancy-Taxation.

Education

Mr. Mulcahy earned a B.A. degree from the State University of New York; Paralegal Certificate from the Adelphi Paralegal Program; and an MBA in taxation from Hofstra University.
