Firm Responsibilities
Mr. Candia is Managing Partner and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Holtz Rubenstein Reminick LLP.
Relevant Experience
He manages the day-to-day operations of the Firm
and, in conjunction with the Firm’s Executive
Committee, determines the overall policies and
objectives. He regularly examines the Firm’s existing
structure for ways to improve service and enhance
client relationships.
Mr. Candia has over 25 years of professional accounting
experience including seven years at a Big Four firm. He
is responsible for providing a broad range of accounting,
tax and management advisory services to clients in a
wide range of industries including manufacturing,
service, retail, health care and construction.
He is an expert in reporting for SEC companies, initial
public and other offerings. He also provides a wide
range of business advisory services, including
business restructuring, financing, long range planning
and systems, with an emphasis on the control of
costs and improvement of profits.
Professional Activities
Mr. Candia is a member of the American Institute of
CPAs and the New York State Society of CPAs. He is
a past member of the Peer Review Committee of
the AICPA Private Practice Section and a co-author
of the AICPA Video-Flex Program, Audits of
Inventory. He has served as a member of the
Business Development Council of the Long Island
Association.
His community involvement includes many years of
being a member of the Theater Party for the
American Cancer Society, and fund-raising for St.
Francis Hospital and the Suffolk County Council of
the Boy Scouts of America. Recently, the Association
for the Help of Retarded Children’s Suffolk Chapter
honored him for his years of commitment in
supporting programs that benefit individuals with
developmental disabilities.
Education
Mr. Candia earned a B.S. degree in accounting from St. John’s University.
